United Way’s Starlight Film Festival for High School Students Returns
What: Cineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas is teaming up with United Way KFL&A to host the ninth annual Starlight Film Festival on Friday, Nov. 2, from 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3. All proceeds from the event will help support the 2012 United Way campaign.
With an admittance price of $20 per ticket, the event will feature five movies and include coupons for a free hotdog, unlimited fountain pop, popcorn and arcade games. The movie list is comprised of recent Hollywood hits including 21 Jump Street, Chernobyl Diaries, Mission Impossible 4 – Ghost Protocol, The Amazing Spider Man and We bought A Zoo. Tickets can be purchased at participating high schools, Cineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas and the United Way office.
The Starlight Film Festival will be supervised by adult volunteers and police officers. Admission will be from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Students under 18 years of age must remain inside until 6:30 a.m. If a student decides to leave before the completion of the event, a supervisor on duty will contact parents and arrange for safe transportation.
Who: The United Way and Cineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas invite high school students ages 13 to 19 to Starlight Film Festival. Students are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as the popular event regularly sells out.
When: Friday, Nov. 2, from 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 3.
