United Way KFLA Campaign reaches $1 Million Mark
KINGSTON, ON (October 6, 2015) – The United Way KFLA campaign has reached $1 million thanks to the hard work and support of volunteers and donors. This represents 30% of the $3,400,000 goal that was announced at the Campaign kick-off on September 11, 2015.
Thousands of volunteers, organizations, frontline agencies, professional staff, and our media partners come together to raise funds for services that benefit their families, friends, and neighbours.
“Thank you to all our volunteers and donors,” says Bhavana Varma, President & CEO, United Way KFLA. “There are eight weeks remaining in the campaign and a lot of people counting on the United Way. There is still time to get donations in and keep the thermometer moving up.”
Last year, United Way invested in 62 programs that helped 75,000 people in our community.
The 2015 Campaign will touchdown on Monday, November 30, 2015.
