Cineplex Odeon Hosting all-night Movie Marathon for high school students
KINGSTON, ON / October 20, 2015 – Cineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas and United Way KFLA are teaming up once again to host the 12th annual Starlight Film Festival on Saturday, November 7, from 12:30am to 6:30am. The event will welcome high school students ages 13 to 19 for a night of entertainment with all proceeds supporting the United Way.
With an admittance price of $20 per ticket, the event will feature five movies and include a free hotdog, unlimited fountain pop*, popcorn and arcade games. (*Students must keep their cup for refills). The movie list, specially selected by high school students, includes The Internship, Insidious 2, Now You See Me, We Bought a Zoo and Divergent.
Tickets can be purchased at participating high schools, Cineplex Odeon Gardiners Road Cinemas and the United Way office. Students attending the event will require photo identification (student card) or proof of high school status.

Last year, approximately 600 high school students attended the sold out film festival for a fun night of hit movies, snacks and arcade games.
Starlight Film Festival will be supervised by adult volunteers, police officers and students from the St. Lawrence College Police Foundation program.
Admission will be from 12:30am to 1:30am students under 18 years of age must remain inside until 6:30am. If a student wishes to leave before the completion of the event, a supervisor on duty will contact parents and arrange for safe transportation.
