Registration open for workshop on Social Media for Non-Profits
United Way Leadership Development Services offers workshop facilitated by Dr. Sidneyeve Matrix, Queen’s University
United Way Leadership Development Services (LDS) will host a workshop on Social Media for Non-Profits on January 26th. This workshop, delivered by Dr. Sidneyeve Matrix, is open to board members, staff and volunteers of non-profit organizations in KFL&A. The workshop will be held at the Kingston-Frontenac Public Library- Central Branch, 130 Johnson Street from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In this session, participants will learn:
- How to increase impact and navigate social media
- Why not-for-profit agencies should incorporate social media into their marketing plans
- Which technology is best for your agency
- Tips for best practices
Dr. Sidneyeve Matrix is a professor of media and mass communications in the Department of Media and Film, Queen’s University. She is a blogger, professional speaker, published author and a regular digital trends analyst for national media outlets, including CBC News and CBC Radio, CTVGlobeMedia, The Canadian Press, Sun Media, CanWest Global and various others. Dr. Matrix also works as a social media developer helping brands increase their digital IQ.
The cost for this workshop is $30 per person and registration is required. Space is limited.

United Way Leadership Development Services help non-profit organizations deal with the ever changing landscape of the voluntary sector by strengthening board governance. Public workshops are facilitated by volunteers and are offered to organizations in KFL&A through the year.
