KINGSTON, ONT. / September 20, 2013 – The Kingston Frontenacs and United Way Next Gen are teaming up to Score 4 United Way on Friday, September 27, at 7 p.m. at the Rogers K-Rock Centre.
The Kingston Frontenacs are taking on the Niagara Ice Dogs and supporting their community by donating $5 from each ticket purchased at the KRC Box Office to the United Way of KFL&A.
“We look forward to the Score 4 United Way game each year,” says Next Gen Chair Shawn Whalen. “It’s a great opportunity to help raise money for the United Way, increase awareness of the Next Gen initiative and support our local hockey team.”
Last year Score 4 United Way raised $4,620 as more than 3,000 hockey fans attended the game.
Score 4 United Way is hosted by Next Gen, a United Way initiative in KFL&A that provides young professionals with opportunities to become engaged in the community and help bring about meaningful change through their involvement with United Way.
