Applications sought for additional round of Community Investment Fund Grants

Funding to help local organizations with additional expenses related to service delivery during pandemic

Kingston, ON (April 12, 2021) – United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington, is pleased to announce they will be administering a second round of grants for the Community Investment Fund (CIF), with special funding from the City of Kingston. This existing fund has been augmented with $100,000 in City of Kingston funding making a total of $320,000 available to eligible applicants in 2021.

The fund provides one-time grants of up to $25,000 to social service programs, projects, or small capital expenditures to non-profit organizations in the community with a focus on helping local organizations with additional expenses related to service delivery during pandemic and/or post-pandemic.

For this round of funding, all local agencies delivering service in Kingston are eligible to join, including those that may have received a grant in the past two years.

The 2021 Community Investment Fund grant applications opened on April 2, 2021 with information, guidelines and registration now available on the United Way website (www.unitedwaykfla.ca) at https://www.unitedwaykfla.ca/funding/.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, May 21, 2021. Applications can only be submitted online.  

For more information, all interested agencies are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on Wednesday, May 5 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. This session will include a demonstration on how to navigate the online grant forms.
