Kingstonians Grab a Drink for United Way
Hundreds of people spent a portion of Saturday afternoon socializing.
The United Way Next Gen held its second annual sociable event celebrating beer, whisky and live music.
10 different breweries offered tastings. And if beer wasn’t your thing, the event also featured 6 different whisky samples.
85 hundred dollars was raised at the event.
“I know quite a few people coming Ottawa, from out of town as far down as Toronto. A lot of that has to do with social media. word is getting out, it’s spreading quite quickly which is great to see for Kingston as a tourist destination but also for the United Ways message getting out there. There is this initiative that people are being encouraged to get involved and it doesn’t matter where you are, if you just get involved and help your community everybody wins”.
The money goes to support the greater Kingston United Way.
