KINGSTON, ON (October 12, 2016) – The Kingston Fire Department invites the community to join them on October 22, 2016 from 10:00am – 3:00pm for Fire & Rescue Community Day at their new training centre. Enjoy fun activities for the entire family, Food trucks, silent auction and more. Day passes are available for $20/Family and all proceeds support the United Way KFLA.
A day pass includes ladder rides, driving in a fire truck, combat challenge events and putting out a car fire. Tickets for the day pass are $10 per person or $20 per family. Boot donations will be accepted for the free activities. These activities include training tower tours, an antique fire truck display, Sparky the dog and so much more. Attendees will also have a chance to win door prizes such as “take your kid to school in a fire truck”.
“The Kingston Fire Department is excited to showcase our new Regional Training Centre and invite the entire community for a fun filled afternoon On Saturday October 22nd. This year we will have lots of fun activities lined up, great local food vendors and much more. We hope to make this an annual event and with plans to incorporate a fire fit challenge next year and help raise funds and awareness for the annual United Way campaign.” Said Chief Shawn Armstrong. “Strengthening our relationships with partners like the United Way helps keep us connected to the people who matter most in our community.”
There will be food available at the event with local food trucks Glocca Morra Farms and Smokin Carnivore on site.
The event takes place at the Regional Training Centre, 3 Terry fox Drive.
