KFL&A United Way almost one-third to goal

The KFL&A United Way has reached the million-dollar mark… but still has a long way to go to reach this year’s goal.

The charity has set a goal of $3.35 million — the most ever.

It took just three weeks to surpass $1 million since the campaign launched.

That’s due in part to strong workplace contributions from some of the city’s major employers …. including the Ministry of Transportation, Empire Life, Corrections Canada, Assurant Solutions and Kingston General Hospital.

The campaign touchdown is at the end of the November.
