KINGSTON, ON (September 26, 2016) – Former homeless youth turned CEO (Mindware Design, 2003), Joe Roberts is pushing a shopping cart across Canada to highlight the issue of homelessness. He has crossed into Ontario and is making his way towards Kingston.
“I am thrilled to be arriving in Kingston and am humbly grateful for the support of Cushman & Wakefield Kingston and the United Way KFLA. I look forward to our combined efforts over 2 days and engaging the community to raise awareness and heighten The Push for Change message that ending youth homelessness is possible” says Joe Roberts, the Push for Change.
Sponsored by Cushman & Wakefield Kingston and coordinated by United Way, there will be numerous events over his two-day stay in Kingston. The public is invited to ‘walk with Joe” to welcome him to Kingston and sign up for the Community Luncheon on Friday October 7, from 12pm-2pm at the Ambassador Hotel & Conference Centre.

People can donate to The Push For Change locally through the link right here. 50% of the money will be donated back to Kingston region, going towards youth homelessness programs in KFL&A. The fundraising campaign has been kick-started with a generous donation of $25,000 from Cushman & Wakefield Kingston. “We are proud to be sponsoring the work Joe Roberts and The Push for Change have undertaken to raise awareness on this important issue, which affects every community including ours” says Peter Kostogiannis, Broker of Record/President of Cushman & Wakefield Kingston. “This is an investment in our youth and their future.”
