At Royal Military College today, professors and other top brass were rounded up, put in handcuffs, and thrown into jail. But it was all in the name of charity. They’re raising money for the kingston-area united way in the college’s annual “jail and bail”. Donations were made to put people into a mock jail – and more time could be purchased to keep them behind bars even longer.
Brig.-Gen. A.D. Meinzinger:
“The united way is a big event for us – each and every year the college looks to support the charity as best we can. In fact this year -we’re looking to raise close to a hundred thousand dollars which goes into the pot that the base looks to raise in the amount of about a quarter million dollars.”
