Thank you Kingston! Thanks to your support, Holiday Smile Cookies raised over $116,000 in 2024!

The results are in, and Kingston is smiling brighter than ever! The second Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign was an incredible success, raising a total of $116,200.54! Local Tim Hortons owners proudly presented United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington with $58,100.27 – half of the proceeds from this amazing community effort, with the other half supporting Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
 
A huge thank you to the local store owners for choosing United Way as their charity partner and to everyone who purchased cookies, decorated them, or spread the word. Your support makes a difference in the lives of community members right here in Kingston.
 
Special shout-out to the Tim Hortons location at 460 Gardiners Rd, the top-selling store in the region! Their incredible efforts were recognized with a gift from Tim Hortons for each team member. 🎉

About Smile Cookies

Smile Cookies began in 1996 in Hamilton, Ontario with the goal of raising money for local charities by selling a cookie decorated with a smiley face. For more than 25 years, Tim Hortons guests have come to know and love the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign. Last year, Tims guests helped raise $9.8 million through the inaugural Holiday Smile Cookie campaign, spreading kindness and supporting local charities and community groups across the country, including Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.  

A big thank you the local store owners for choosing the United Way as their charity partner, thanks to Tim Hortons and thank you to the incredible community for supporting this campaign.
We’d also like to thank all the amazing volunteers that helped spread the word at stores, decorated cookies and of course purchased a few too! 
 

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
