United Way KFLA works to build and strengthen our community by bringing people and resources together to facilitate change to create a community where individuals live with hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
Winter Coats & Winter Resources: In response to winter needs, primarily for those who are unhoused, funding is allocated to the purchase of winter coats and boots to be disributed to frontline providers and/or vulnerable individuals.
National Point-in-Time Count: PiT Counts are a community-level measure of sheltered and unsheltered homelessness, to then contribute to a national picture of homelessness. They are comprised of two components: a count of people experiencing homelessness, and a survey to provide further information on demographics, causes and experiences of people affected by homelessness.
