Food Network Canada’s Chef Michael Smith Supports Local United Way
Chef Michael Smith’s visit to Providence Care at the St. Mary’s of the Lake site tomorrow will involve a meet-and-greet, a special talk on “Sustainability of Cooking from Scratch” and a book signing for his latest cookbook Fast Flavours! Three dollars from the sale of each book will go towards Providence Care’s Staff United Way Campaign.
What: Providence Care’s food services provider Sodexo is hosting an inspirational presentation by Michael Smith from Food Network Canada. Michael is not only the host of Chef Abroad, Chef at Home and Chef at Large seen on Food Network Canada, he is also Sodexo’s National Sustainability Ambassador.
When: Friday, September 28
- Meet & Greet: 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Talk on “Sustainability of Cooking from Scratch”: 12:15 to 1 p.m.
- Book Sale & Signing: 1 to 2 p.m.
Where: Providence Care, St. Mary’s of the Lake, 340 Union Street (staff cafeteria)
