Rotary (virtual) Pig Roast in support of United Way KFL&A and meal providers

The Rotary Club of Kingston is hosting their annual Rotary Pig Roast, but with a twist…

Visit the website below to purchase a virtual ticket. Your $20 ticket (donation) will feed someone in the community and Rotary is hoping to provide meals for 750 people.

Rotary Pig Roast – CanadaHelps

Instead of attending, your contribution will provide a meal for someone in need to be distributed by our local meal providers.

Funds raised will also go to the United Way for purchase of equipment for the new Community Food Redistribution Warehouse which will be the location for food donations to be received and redirected out to agencies providing food to people experiencing food insecurity across KFL&A.

 

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.

We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
