Carrie Batt Leading 2014 United Way Campaign
Vice President, Commercial Financial Services, Royal Bank of Canada is 72nd Chair
Kingston, ON (April 24, 2014) The United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is pleased to announce Carrie Batt, Vice President, Commercial Financial Services, Royal Bank of Canada, will chair the organization’s 72nd annual campaign this fall.
Carrie has been involved with the United Way of KFL&A for many years. She is a past Chair Board of Directors and she joined the Campaign Cabinet in 2012. In addition, Carrie is currently the Co-Chair of the Success by 6 Council of Partners.
“The United Way truly is the most effective way to support those in need in the community as it addresses the root causes of Social issues,” says Carrie. “I am looking forward to working with volunteers from across the community.”
Lori MacDonald, 2013 Campaign Chair said “The United Way Campaign is one of the largest fundraisers in our community, and the health of our community is often reflected in the generous giving nature of those who live in it.” MacDonald added, “I’m delighted that Carrie will lead this year’s campaign.”
Carrie’s focus during Campaign 2014 will be to increase personal giving through the community and workplaces that stage United Way fundraising campaigns each fall. The campaign will kick off on September 12, 2014.

Vice President, Commercial Financial Services – Kingston/Quinte
Carrie Batt joined RBC in Winnipeg in 1988. For the duration of her career, she has specialized in working with entrepreneurs. Her roles include account manager positions dealing with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in a variety of industries and three years specializing in Knowledge Based Industries. While in Winnipeg she was the Women’s Entrepreneur Champion for Manitoba for a number of years. She also worked in the Manitoba – Saskatchewan Head Office as Manager, Business Products and Services
Prior to moving to the Kingston / Quinte area, Carrie was the Business and Agricultural Banking Centre Manager in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. While in Moose Jaw she sat on the Boards of the Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA. Carrie, Co-Chair of the Success By Six Council of Partners, is past Chair of the Board of the United Way of Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington and is actively involved on the Finance Committee of the United Way and the Campaign Cabinet. She also volunteers on the Quinte Business Achievement Awards Committee. She is also a member of Royal Eagles, RBC’s Employee Resource Group for Aboriginal employees.
In her current role she has market responsibility for the Bank’s Commercial Financial Services in the Kingston / Quinte area. She leads a team of fourteen financial specialists serving the needs of Commercial Clients.
