31st Annual Memorial Golf Classic
In memory of Joe & Maria Melo and Liz Doyle

In support of the United Way serving KFL&A and the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, the ‘Melo Hotels Kingston Memorial Golf Classic’ will tee off on Friday, Aug. 26, at the Loyalist Golf & Country Club. Registration is $170/person and includes golf, cart, lunch at the Course, a buffet dinner at the Ambassador Conference Resort and a gift bag.

Previously known as the ‘Liz Doyle Memorial Golf Tournament’, a tribute to the Ambassador Conference Resort’s dedicated staff and friend Liz Doyle, the Memorial Golf Classic was re-named last year to also honour Joe & Maria Melo, founders of the Ambassador Conference Resort and Four Points by Sheraton Kingston.

“Over the last 30 years, this golf tournament has become a legend in KFL&A,” says Venicio Rebelo, vice president and general manager of the Ambassador Conference Resort and Four Points Hotel. “It’s a great way to keep their legacies alive.”  Rebelo is also the son-in-law of Joe & Maria Melo.

All proceeds from the event will help support the United Way serving KFL&A’s Community Fund, a network of agencies that provide vital social services to thousands of people throughout the region and the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.
