United Way crosses $1 million mark

Andrea Peponoulas, an administration assistant at the United Way office, marks up the thermometer to the $1 million mark Friday, Sept. 30. With eight weeks of the fundraising campaign to go, the campaign is tracking ahead of last year at the same time. The 2011 goal is $3,200,000. The total, so far, is $1,020,532
(32 per cent).
