United Way Tour
The Greater Kingston United Way is one of the largest fundraising organizations in our community.
Helping thousands of people each year.
But where does the money go and how does it help?
A group of 40 volunteers from the area got an opportunity to see first hand where their donations go through a tour called “Seeing Is Believing”.
Early this morning the group boarded a bus and visited local agencies and programs.
Like the Canadian Hearing Society, the Boys and Girls Club and the Kingston Youth Shelter.
LLOYD FLEMMING: “Too often in workplace campaign we talk about the need and we ask people for pledges and we greatly receive those pledges but a lot of people don’t know where that money goes and how it gets used so today is an example of going out to see how that money gets used with United Way funding”.
