Novelis helps the United Way
Close to two dozen employees from Novelis have partnered with the United Way to give back to the community.
They are spending the week doing about twelve thousand dollars of work on the kitchen at the youth shelter on Brock Street.
The volunteer work is part of a larger global initiative by the Aluminum maker.
Warren Smith: “What we wanted to do, we wanted to partner with youth in this case. We’ve been a partner of United Way here in Kingston for decades. So, we reached out to United Way and thought about some projects we could make a difference, this was one of the ones that came up. I really think we’re going to make a difference throughout the week.”
