RMC Christmas Concert Ticket Sales Begin Nov. 1
Officer Cadets start the Holiday Season off in support of United Way
The band of the Royal Military College of Canada will present its annual Christmas Concert on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cadet Formal Mess in Yeo Hall at the college. Tickets for this event will go on sale Nov. 1.
“The cadets started rehearsing the music for this concert in October and the Cadets are thrilled to be part of the event and help raise funds for the United Way Campaign” Warrant Officer Catherine Norris, says “Guests will be delighted by performances by the Concert Band, the Choir and the Stage Band.”
The concert band will showcase a full version of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with singers and a narrator. The choir will perform two ends of the spectrum; “’Twas in the Moon of Wintertime”, which is considered to be the first Canadian Christmas Carol, as well as the exciting “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. And finally, stage band is featuring a medley of songs from the famous “Charlie Brown” Christmas” special and “Color my World” by Chicago.
Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 in advance or $6 at the door; children under 10 free admission. Tickets are limited and available at RMC’s Yeo Hall Canex and the United Way office, 417 Bagot Street. Proceeds from the concert will go to the United Way KFL&A.
