Franklin the Turtle will be visiting the Kingston Chapters store once again for a special story time during United Way Success By 6 Week. He’ll be joined by six local celebrity readers from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
This event has proven to be popular year after year. Children and their caregivers will have the opportunity to meet one of their favourite characters from books and television shows. The “Franklin and Friends” television show is based on the Canadian children’s book franchise “Franklin the Turtle” by Brenda Clark and Paulette Bourgeois.
Following his appearance at Chapters in Kingston, Franklin will visit the Erinsville Play group at St. Patrick’s Catholic School (31 Central Street, Denbigh) on May 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the Flinton Library (3641 Flinton Road, Flinton) on May 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for arts crafts and story time.
United Way Success By 6 Week is marking its eighth anniversary in KFL&A from May 3 to May 11. This fun-filled week of free events and activities is designed with the youngest members of our community in mind with an emphasis on making KFLA child-friendly and reminding parents and caregivers to “Take the Time, Make the Moments Matter”.
