Volunteers grabbed tools, gardening gloves or garbage bags today. Over 200 volunteers from 25 different workplaces lent a helping hand to United Way agencies on the 14th Annual “Day of Caring.” They did light construction work, gardening and maintenance tasks around Kingston…. Jobs that non-profit agencies normally couldn’t afford to do themselves. Volunteers were also at RMC to help set up tonight’s “Relay for Life”. They say it’s a great way to connect and give back to the community.
“It’s a win win situation, and through the years we have done so many places and there’s not a place that we’ve left that they haven’t said to us thank you so much we could not do this without you.”
