What: On Friday, June 10, over 220 volunteers from 24 workplaces will come together to help 25 local agencies with light construction, gardening and maintenance tasks as part of United Way Day of Caring.
United Way Day of Caring connects volunteers with community programs. It’s a win-win for all; agencies get much needed projects completed and volunteers learn about their community through a hands-on experience. Participants take on light construction, gardening and maintenance tasks and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the work of agencies.
Who: 220 volunteers from workplaces across KFL&A (please see complete listing below).
When: Friday, June 10, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Projects will be held at various locations across KFL&A.
- The kick-off will take place at 8:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence College (Portsmouth Avenue & King Street). All teams (Kingston based) will assemble here before heading over to their Day of Caring sites.

- The wrap-up barbecue and ceremonies will be held at Junior Ranks Mess, CFB Kingston at 2:00 p.m.
