You win, your community wins! United Way KFL&A launches 50/50 online fundraiser in support of 2024 campaign
Draws encourage community members to buy tickets and support their community
Kingston, ON (August 19, 2024) – United Way Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington is pleased to announce it’s 50/50 draw as a new online fundraising initiative in 2024.
Thanks to generous sponsorship by Alliance Security and Communications, the new 50/50 draw offers participants the chance to win cash while also giving back to the community. Half of the proceeds will go to the lucky winner, while the other half will directly benefit United Way KFL&A’s fundraising campaign which supports programs and services across the region.
“We are pleased to sponsor the 50/50 this year. Supporting our local community and United Way is really important to our team,” explained Brad French, President, Alliance Security and Communications. “We encourage community members to buy tickets to support the incredible work of United Way and the agencies they support in this community we call home. It really is a win-win.”
Community members can start purchasing tickets for the first draw on Monday, August 19, 2024 and the first winner will be announced at the 2024 United Way KFL&A Campaign Kick-off Breakfast on Friday, September 6, 2024. Following that draw, new draws will run each month from September to December. To purchase tickets, individuals must be located in the province of Ontario and over the age of 18.
“Thank you to the team at Alliance for sponsoring this new initiative. Every dollar makes a difference and this is a great way to support your community and maybe win some cash too.” said 2024 Campaign Chair, Joanne Langlois. “By buying a ticket you are helping your friends, neighbours, colleagues, and community members. We are stronger together and we can make a lasting impact with your support.”
Tickets for the 50/50 draw are now available for purchase online at www.unitedwaykfla5050.com. Participants can choose from a range of ticket options, with prices ranging from 200 for $40, 50 for $20 or 10 for $10.

United Way of KFL&A would like to acknowledge this traditional territory’s longer existence and its significance for the Indigenous people who lived and continue to live on Turtle Island.
We are situated on traditional Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat land. There are Métis and other non-status First People from many Indigenous Nations present in our community today. This acknowledgement symbolizes the United Way KFL&A’s first step, of many, along this path toward Indigenous reconciliation, in a respectful manner.
